What do you so when you sell your house? We decided we would travel for a year. Just rolling for a year. Well a bit crazy but so is life. We found our work as artists and Dale photography continued as we rolled. We have called our journey the imaginary name “Gypsy Wagon Journey” . I found a photo of a gypsy wagon to spark our imagination. We now finished month 5 . There is many hightlights but here is a few !

We launched things with what better way than a Tea Party – it was held at the Calico Cat. And to top it off we had a guest from Japan .. Kazuko Asaba – who had produced my books into plays in Japan.

After that we went to Mexico for two months. We know it well and needed after the tedious but good experience of selling our house we needed to relax. It was a good choice. People relaxing.. food nourishing.. and some sun. We landed to be greeted by friend Russ and sister Norah in Puerto Vallarta. Nothing like having friends support your crazy ideas. Soon got to a small bungalow .. small but sweet – where Dale could play with this beads and I could paint. The beach we were by was the place I had painted my story Miracle Galaxy and I would look out and feel the Peace Angel and go to the lava rocks and feel Willpower Angel.

We met Kazuko Asaba and Ruu at this very spot in 2015 to discuss future project. They proceeded to produce Magical Earth Secrets as a play. Miracle Galaxy while we were in Mexico this time was performed. Thanks to Ruu Ruu who designed the costumes.

Lucky we had our good friends Gloria Arroyo visit with friends who danced and sang Ballet Folklorica that we filmed for our Topia world site.  The friends were was  good, food like Flan so tempting, and meals at Vista Guayabitos fabulous and the beach good as always… the ocean is a muse.

In Mexico working on developing first Dodoland shop with my painting designs on t-shirts and some all over designs with my paintings from Dodoland, Magical Earth and Star Galaxy for the World. Arrie was working online with me on this. Being digital nomads we could work from anywhere.

After arriving from Mexico we rented an air b and b on Departure Bay beach. Funny this was really only around the corner from the house we sold but one of our favourite areas. We met for tea at the Drip and had beach get togethers on the beach… what a summer for us in Canada.

We headed out in July to Pender Island to finish up the ecommerce part of the Dodoland Shop with Chris Martin. Amazing to visit family there and see the ancient tree lined roads.

Then it was a visit to the Sunshine Coast … another special area. We visited friends Doug and Jules who also loved travelling and heard travel stories.  Aaron Zerah was also on the Sunshine Coast who I collaborated with in painting his Spirit Storybooks. He has a certain ecstasy about him that is always appreciated. Part of it is being grateful and believing.

Synchronicity played a hand when we visited Laurie, and David in their garden home. We went to the Roberts Community mandala and to our surprise were there at a time when we could add to the painting. I had always loved how they changed these designs each year and came up with awesomeness.

During this period I also added a painting to a Visionary show and a show of the animation of Star Galaxy for the World done by Julian Ramirez in the Non Stop Vision Train show which featured 100 artists.

So the Vision Train chugs on … as does our imaginary Gypsy Wagon … we will be enjoying wearing the painted creations from Dodoland Shop as we journey further on road trips to the Okanagan, Alberta, England, Wales and Greece.

Let the Wagon roll on … our love to all collaborators, those who helped us by having tea and cookies and lunch along the way.. we send our love! Be Peace, Be Creative and Be Transformation. Della
