| In 1970-71 In travelling through Europe had a traumatic event in which the bird hat (Bird Helmet) evolved from a dream. Taught from 72 -77 Humber College Design , Textiles, History of Clothing, Interior Designg. Humber College – A love of nature led me to develop a course where photographs of nature would be inspiration for color schemes, combination of shapes, rhythm and proportions in a room | Dale would often photograph nature at Allen’s Gardens | My first dream I recall was in 1971 I gave birth to a mer-boy .. I decided if this was possible I could be a mermaid. Many mer people came to visit me in my dreams. Also told in a dream “Travels will open doors.” “saw small book with imaginary birds” Research: Diary Photos | Travelled through Europe and Morocco for eighteen months. Rented a house in Greece and Spain for a short time and camped. As I was travelled was doing a series of drawings. Drawings became more imaginative and not as literal and moved from black and white to vibrant colors. |
