Angel Collaborator
My twin sister Donna would be so happy to see that the Miracle Galaxy story .. which morphed into Star Galaxy for the World in 2020 when I saw the performance of it in Japan is NOW a short ANIMATION. YAAAHH .. THANKS TO SO MANY!
Julian Ramirez , a coheart in the Design Science Program has now animated the story. It has been made into three Trans Medias. Him and I ( also assisted by Dale) have also done a Topia site on “Star Galaxy for the World” and an installation in New Art City – see videos below.. My brother Freeman even pitched in a helped me do the voice over for the animated film. Struppi made some amazing music.
But let talk about Donna.
Donna was an incredible and determined woman who was born in Saskatoon and grew up in Alberta. She studied design in New York and received a Bachelor of Science in Textiles from the University of Alberta and after graduating traveled across the country to live in Toronto. She worked as a Commercial Interior Designer at the prestigious Art Shoppe in Toronto and Grand and Toy before starting her own business in Vancouver which was at Granville and Robson.
Her first daughter Holly was born in Vancouver and in wanting to be closer to nature the family ventured in to the interior to live in the Vernon area. Her second daughter Flora was born and both daughters thrived in the interior environment. She wanted to encourage a love of travel in her daughters.
Donna was creative in many ways – she did drawing about all she loved around her – gardens, flowers, birds, rhythmic gymnastics and interior design. In her struggle with Cancer she called on her Willpower and Creativity to survive. In the last year of her life she helped in creating, with me, the book on self healing with eight angels called Miracle Galaxy. We were both on a battle with cancer. The book was published in July 2007. She took my drawings and drew the angels so they looked animated and dancing. She was one of the main support when creating my stories with my husband Dale too of course. She would be so happy to actually see them animated film today of Star Galaxy for the World. Donna is now dancing with the angels in heaven and in charge of helping those that come and want to be creative. She’s now a heaven (angel) collaborator. Thank you Donna to all the you have given us. We love you!
